In my Art 354 “Design For Use” class, I tackled the challenge of designing packaging that effectively represents the brand identity and theme of a chosen product. I selected “Caution” hot sauce as my product and set out to create a shipping box that was both functional and visually appealing. Through extensive research on the hot sauce industry and the “Caution” brand, I crafted a cohesive and engaging design that incorporated all the necessary information and branding elements within a limited surface area. 

Utilizing Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I meticulously balanced practicality and aesthetics, ensuring that the packaging could protect the hot sauce bottles during transit while also capturing the brand’s edgy and vibrant spirit. To bring my design to life, I constructed a functional prototype using the laser cutter in Miami University’s Maker Space, showcasing my ability to translate digital designs into tangible products.
